Field Service Technician

Description

Field Service Technicians deliver high quality service to CS Industrial Services’ customers with a focus on safety, quality, integrity, and collaboration. Field Service Technicians are responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction through installing, repairing, and performing routine maintenance on compressed air equipment.

Essential Job Functions

  • Install or rebuild and test compressed air equipment on-site at customer facilities
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and test compressed air equipment on-site at customer facilities
  • Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on compressed air equipment on-site at customer facilities
  • Consult with and advise customers on compressed air equipment needs, maintenance, and repairs
  • Document work performed using designated forms and submit reports to appropriate business units in a timely manner
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including, but not limited to, Parts and Sales Departments to facilitate service to customers
  • Exhibit the highest level of safety standards by consistently donning appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to OSHA regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Driver’s License
  • 2+ years’ mechanical technician experience
  • Ability to prioritize tasks with strong time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Proven ability to read schematics

Preferred Qualifications

  • Compressed air systems maintenance experience (preventative and reparative)
  • EPA Section 608 Technician (Universal Refrigerant) Certification
  • Refrigeration technician experience
  • ASSE 6040 Medical Gas Systems Maintenance Certification

Physical Demands

  • The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; drive; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Working Conditions

  • Travel to customer facilities by company-provided automobile required on a daily basis.
  • Job functions are frequently performed in industrial settings including, but not limited to, warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturing plants, hospitals, boiler rooms, compressor rooms, and outdoors.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions; work in high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
